The right choice of nozzle for 3D printing

The appropriate nozzle is crucial for materials with abrasive properties and for fibre reinforced materials. Here is a brief overview:

Hardened nozzle:

A hardened nozzle is used when the extruded material has abrasive or chemically aggressive properties. This includes carbon, glass fibre and glow.

Larger nozzle:

Fibre reinforced materials require a nozzle with a diameter of at least 0.5 mm to prevent the fibres from clogging the nozzle. Carbon, glass fibre and WOOD are such fibre reinforced materials.
