Flax is a part of our BIO Design range. The material allows for fast production speed thanks to added mineral filler. Flax is particularly suitable for rapid prototyping and intricate design products.

Maximum Stress
Flax has good mechanical properties that are similar to those of PLA.
Elongation at Break
Flax has excellent tensile stretch properties and is resistant to any heavy impact that might occur during product development.
Temperature Resistance
Like PLA, Flax is temperature-resistant up to 60 °C.
Ease of Printing
The material allows processing at very high temperatures, which means that it increases production speed by 200%. As a result, Flax is suitable for advanced users.
Visual Quality
Flax has a mineral feel. At high temperatures and regular printing speed, the surface becomes coarse and resembles sandstone. From 0.15 mm, there are no visible grooves in the layers. Small and medium batches can be produced to a professional quality.
Layer Adhesion
Like PLA, Flax has average layer adhesion.
Impact Resistance
Resistance to impact could be increased when optimizing the material.
