Pearl

Pearl is part of our BIO Design range and has a uniquely smooth surface. The material is made of 100% renewable resources.

 

  • Very good printing and flow properties
  • Mechanically and thermally comparable to PLA
  • Biodegradable according to DIN EN ISO 14855

Maximum Stress

Pearl has good mechanical properties that are similar to PLA.

Elongation at Break

Pearl has excellent tensile stretch properties and is resistant to any impact that might occur during design manufacturing; for example, in furniture production.

Temperature Resistance

Like PLA, Pearl is temperature-resistant up to 50-60 °C.

Ease of Printing

To preserve the silky surface of the material, Pearl is processed at relatively low temperatures between 160 and 180 °C. As a result, it is suitable for advanced users.

Visual Quality

Pearl has a uniquely smooth surface. From 0.15 mm, there are no visible grooves in the layers. Small and medium batches can be produced to a professional quality.

Layer Adhesion

Like PLA, Pearl has average layer adhesion.

Impact Resistance

Resistance to impact could be increased when optimizing the material.
